New General Manager for Raffles Hotels in Cambodia

SINGAPORE, 19 January 2009 – Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Mr Alex Kassatly as General Manager of Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ lengendary hotels in Cambodia - Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, Siem Reap and Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh.
Mr Kassatly brings to his new role a wealth of international experience having spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry and more than 14 years as a General Manager. His previous postings include senior and general management positions at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ award-winning properties in Montreal, Quebec City as well as the landmark The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Prior to joining Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Mr Kassatly was General Manager of Fairmont Towers Heliopolis, Cairo, where he led the hotel through its grand opening in 2007.
