Look no more as Raffles Dubai is introducing a unique family-friendly Friday lunch concept, a welcoming and refreshing alternative to the bubbly brunches that has spread Dubai in recent years: a Friday roast with a twist, sure to bring back memories of classic home-made British food.
Originating from the Sunday Roast, a traditional British meal served on Sundays (usually in the early afternoon for lunch), it consists of roasted meat, roast potato together with accompaniments, such as Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, vegetables and gravy. Popular throughout the United Kingdom, It is believed this tradition arose because bakers could not bake bread on a Sunday, so their ovens would be used to roast meat.
Azur’s Friday Roast goes back to perfecting classics and enjoys a wide selection of hot and cold starters and fresh salads to accompany the carving station, which comes with all the traditional trimmings, to suit the weekly selection of roasted joints: Yorkshire pudding, two types of stuffing, gravy, bread sauce, Cranberry sauce, etc... Signature weekly desserts include the apple & blackberry crumble, bread and butter pudding, baked rice pudding, Eton mess, Sherry Trifle and Bake well tart. And if that is not enough to keep your sweet tooth satisfied, the banana split station should do the job!
