Gallup Employee Engagement Survey (Q12)

 

In 2007, Raffles Hotels & Resorts participated in the Gallup Employee Engagement Survey, Q12 in order to understand our employees better and to make them feel an integral part of the company. We strive to make every employee feel like they belong to the organization as well as to make sure that they achieve high levels of engagement in the company.

 

In the mid-1980s, The Gallup Organization decided to create a better feedback process for all employers - an opinion-based tool that would both release and direct the powers of feedback. The primary goal was to identify and measure the elements of worker engagement that are most powerfully linked to improved business outcomes such as sales growth, productivity and customer loyalty. The result was a 12-question survey in which employees are asked to rate their response to each question on a scale of one to five

 

 

STAR (Selection of Talents At Raffles)

 

We have also implemented a talent selection system at Raffles Hotels & Resorts called STAR (Selection of Talents At Raffles). It is a talent- based hiring approach, seeking inherent talent of individual and talent that is predictive of future success on the job.

The talent models for Raffles are built to identify the candidate’s “fit” to the Raffles culture, brand promises, management style, and capacity to meet underlying challenges in their roles. Currently, priority is given to mostly leadership and executive positions but eventually, all positions will be profiled.
