Raffles Hotel will mark her 122nd Anniversary with a host of special treats, from 16 July to 16 September 2009, available at the Raffles Hotel Gift Shops, restaurants and extending to the Raffles Culinary Academy as well.
The celebration kicks off with a series of three culinary classes at Raffles Culinary Academy on 16 July, 16 August and 16 September, the latter being the Hotel’s official anniversary date. Priced at $122 nett per couple, each class will have a hands-on session featuring two savoury dishes, as well as a two- course lunch, showcasing the dishes taught.
$122 nett Anniversary menus will highlight at three restaurants. Enjoy a special $122 nett Thali set for two persons at Tiffin Room; or a lobster done in your preferred way from a selection of five preparation styles, with a glass of wine for $122 nett at Raffles Courtyard. At Long Bar Steakhouse, a $122 nett three- course dinner menu per person inclusive of a glass of wine, or lunch for two persons with two glasses of champagne at $122 nett awaits you.
At Raffles Hotel Gift Shops, guests have the choice of a $122 nett signature-item gift bag or ‘surprise’ gift bag. Fantastic as a memorable gift, some signature items you can expect are a Royal Doulton Plate, “Raffles Remembered” book, Raffles Hotel Luggage Label and Homemade Thos S.B. Orange Truffles amongst other premium items.
Raffles Hotel’s resident florist at Sir Charles – Flowers for the Gentleman also features a lovely posy of roses or the choice of the “Raffles Flowers” book (retailing at Raffles Hotel Gift Shops at $33.90) at $12.20 nett with a minimum spend of $200. Raffles Hotel Arcade similarly highlights a shopping promotion from 16 to 30 September 2009, and Raffles Amrita Spa will be offering an exclusive $122 Anniversary spa promotion to Residents at Raffles Hotel.
To make the anniversary even more meaningful, Raffles Hotel is extending complimentary “perks” related to the year 1887. From 16 July to 16 September 2009, patrons with “1887” in their Identity Cards or passports are able to enjoy an additional perk over and above the $122 nett treats. Dining with a minimum $122 nett spend at any of Raffles Hotel’s 18 restaurants and bars, excluding Royal China at Raffles, entitles the patron to enjoy a $122 dining credit on a return visit.
