For the fifth time, Raffles Hotel’s elegant Raffles Grill has been conferred the influential Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence 2008, following a meticulous review by Wine Spectator’s panel of adjudicators of over 4000 worldwide restaurants that participated in the annual awards program. This is an especially important and prestigious recognition as the criteria are precise and the award is only bestowed on destination restaurants with imaginative wine lists that extend beyond 400 selections. The wine lists must display superior vintage depth or excellent region breadth and are well presented in an accurate and attractive manner.

Debuted in 1981 and now organised for the 28th time, this dining guide stands as the world’s most comprehensive list of restaurants that offer exceptional quality with their wine programmes.  Raffles Grill is one of the selected few restaurants in Singapore conferred this esteemed award and is the only hotel establishment on the island to have achieved it.

In addition to the traditional vineyards of France, Italy and Germany, outstanding vintages from newer wine regions such as California, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have been sagely added.  Apart from its treasure trove of celebrated wines, Raffles Grill also prides itself on serving fine French cuisine coupled with attentive service.    
Elegant and formal, the Raffles Grill dining room conveys a sense of timeless grace.  The cuisine by Chef de Cuisine Chef Jean-Charles Dubois, is crafted to suit today’s discerning gourmets, featuring seasonal highlights through the year. Light and simple yet imaginative and original, the cooking style is rooted in the French classical tradition, with contemporary overtones.
