Precision Preparations For Massive Formula1 Horde

22 Aug 2008

90,000 Singapore Slings, 1,305 bottles of gin, and 27,000 cups of coffee, or 190kg of coffee beans, are estimated to be served by Raffles Hotel over the Singapore Grand Prix season, this 26 to 28 September 2008.

With an onslaught of visitors and fans of Formula 1 at the inaugural night race is set to drive the demand for food & beverages to a record high.

To complement this historic event, Raffles Hotel has made pain-staking preparations many months ago to ensure hunger pangs are satisfied and thirsty cravings quenched. Even the crowns of pineapples that adorn the Singapore Sling have been meticulously calculated, resulting in 1,050  pineapples ordered to be set aside for this very purpose.

Adding to the carnival atmosphere, Raffles Hotel Arcade will be rewarding patrons who spend S$1,200* and above with a complimentary Afternoon Tea voucher for Two Persons at Bar & Billiard Room, from 16 September to 16 October 2008.

Visitors to Singapore will also be entitled to special promotions from 20 September 2008 to 5 October 2008 at selected Raffles Hotel Arcade shops upon presentation of passports. Please see appended list of participating tenants.
