Raffles Hotel celebrates the beginning of a brand New Year with two prestigious industry awards bestowed by internationally acclaimed US travel publications, Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler (US).

Raffles Hotel has once again clinched a coveted spot in the Top 500 World's Best Hotels listing on Travel + Leisure magazine. The historic Grand Dame, ranked 11th amongst 50 top-rated hotels in Asia, also received the highest score above all the hotels in Singapore that were named in this category. Travel + Leisure's international team of reporters and editors gathered results from the magazine's 2008 World's Best Awards, conducted among the discerning readers of the magazine to derive at this revered report on the world's most excellent luxury accommodation.

Over 32,000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler (US) have voted Raffles Hotel into the annual Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2009, a popular travel reference that features the best places to stay in the world. Results for the Gold List were collected from the annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Travel Awards 2008, where the properties are ranked according to their excellence in service, restaurants, ambience, facilities and location. The winning hotels from around the globe were sorted into seven regional groupings, and Raffles Hotel received an overall score of 91.6 percent, being the highest ranked hotel in Singapore.
