True to tradition, this year’s New Year’s Eve Gala Ball will once again be held amongst the lofty interiors and graceful arches of the hotel lobby.
Experience an enthralling Gala Ball complete with pre-prandial champagne and canapés followed by an exquisite 7-course dinner.
Dance the night away with the accompaniment of live entertainment by an international “Bee Gees” tribute band and usher in the New Year with a spectacular balloon drop at the stroke of midnight. All the elements are aligned for a night to remember, a true promise of spectacle and brilliance.

Raffles Hotel is heralded for her commitment to bringing together internationally acclaimed chefs, wineries and artists from around the world at her annual Raffles Hotel Wine, Food & Arts Experience. Next year’s extraordinary event in its 15th anniversary is scheduled to take place from 27 to 31 January 2010.
The gastronomy maestros lined up include Three Michelin Star Chefs Marc Haeberlin from L'Auberge de l'Ill in Alsace, France; Shuzo Kishida from Restaurant Quintessence, in Tokyo, Japan; and Two Michelin Star Chef Alvin Leung from Bo Innovation, Hong Kong.
Eminent wines from the world-renowned French Bordeaux region include Château d'Yquem, Château Cheval Blanc, Château Léoville-Las Cases, Château La Conseillante, as well as Olivier Leflaive from Burgundy, France; Clos de Los Siete from Mendoza, Argentina; and Billecart-Salmon Champagne from Mareuil-sur-Ay, France.
Gracing the event is guest speaker, Sandrine Garbay, the Chief Winemaker and Cellar Master of Chateau d’Yquem.
The element of art is represented by Jimmy McKissic, virtuoso performer and a veteran French Riviera pianist whose enthralling music has spellbound many; and Raffles Hotel’s Resident Florist, Linus Loh, the creative force behind Raffles Hotel’s in-house florist, Sir Charles - Flowers for The Gentleman, will be designing the floral expressions at the event.

For dining enquiries and reservations, please email wfae.rh@raffles.com | | | | | |  | | Raffles’ Annual Christmas Gala Tree Auction Raised S$265,000 for Charity | The 18th Raffles’ Annual Gala Christmas Tree Dinner and Auction held on Tuesday, 26 November 2009 raised S$265,000 from the auction of seven spectacularly decorated Christmas trees, a silent auction of coveted services and through direct donations from well-wishers. The much-anticipated evening on Singapore’s festive calendar was held at The Ballroom of Raffles Hotel, and was graced by Minister of State, Community Development, Youth and Sports Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon as the Guest of Honour. The intimate ballroom was decorated to the event’s theme of “A Magical Christmas”. The cream of Singapore’s society and munificent philanthropists enjoyed a tantalising western menu complemented by exquisite wines.
Mr Pierre Jochem, General Manager of Raffles Hotel and Regional Vice President of Operations, Asia Pacific, Raffles Hotels & Resorts said, “As with every year, it is always a pleasure to see so many generous supporters, who pledge their time and money to help raise funds for the charities. We are very happy to have raised S$ 265,000 which will benefit the five charities under Community Chest”.
Guests were dazzled by the plethora of exclusive treats contributed by Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Silversea Cruises, Grand Vin, Elliott’s Antique, Jet Star, Luxasia, Ascott, Molton Brown, Lotus Art de Vivre and Dr Woffles Wu and Sccube the Apothecary.
