Singapore Season At Raffles Beijing Hotel

Beijing, Oct 12th, 2007 - Singapore Season, a cultural diplomacy effort to showcase Singapore’s global connectivity and attractiveness as a place to live, work and play. This year, Singapore Season comes to Beijing, one of the two key cities in China.

 

Two key major events of the Singapore Season: Singapore Seminar and China - Singapore Media Business Forum were held in Raffles Beijing Hotel on 12 and 13 Oct, 2007 respectively. 

 

Offering fresh perspectives as well as a platform to exchange ideas, the Singapore Seminar is customized for Chinese companies keen on tapping into the many facets of the Singapore economy. The occasion was graced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister, Mr. Wong Kan Seng, accompanied by the Information, Communications and the Arts Minister, Mr Lee Boon Yang and the Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Mr Lee Yi Shyan on the 12 October, 2007.

 

Dr Lee Boon Yang was in attendance for the China-Singapore Media Business Forum on the 13th October, 2007. At this forum, industry leaders from both countries’ media and interactive digital media (IDM) industries will speak to audiences on business, financing and investment opportunities in the media and IDM business environment, as well as on industry development, regulatory policies plus other relevant business issues in Singapore and China.
