The Writers Bar, the long-established rendezvous for both social and business gatherings offers informal all-day dining in a classic Grand Hotel atmosphere. The cuisine may be described as sophisticated comfort food; all-time favourites such as sandwiches, pasta, salads as well as steak tartare, jumbo hot dogs and classic New York cheese cake – considered by locals as the best in town.
Raffles' famed Afternoon Tea is also served here. Apart from traditional English Afternoon Tea with warm scones, a selection of elegant finger sandwiches and finest pastries, Chinese Afternoon Tea is an indulgence for guests who appreciate Macanese Egg Tart, Crispy Baked Crab Claw as well as Chef Lu’s Seafood Croquette, Chicken and Shiitake Mushroom Wrapped in Tofu Skin. An admirable Children’s Afternoon Tea is also available.
