General Information

Raffles Da Nang will be ideally located on a pristine beachfront site on the famous China Beach and in proximity to three UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The proposed resort will open in 2011, featuring 140 suites.

China Beach
Vietnam's China Beach has been ranked among the 'World's Most Luxurious Beaches' by Forbes magazine, which included the 20-mile stretch of golden sands in its October 2005 list of luxury beach destinations around the world.

China Beach is ranked among such stunningly beautiful beaches as Bondi Beach in Sydney, Grace Bay Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands, South Beach in Miami, Plage de Pampelonne in St Tropez and Wailea in Hawaii.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Situated in the middle of three world cultural heritage sites, Da Nang is considered by some to be an access to the inner earth!

Thua Thien-Hue
Named as one of Vietnam's disintegrating treasures, Hue's attractions lie along an 11-kilometre section on the northern bank of the Perfume River and comprise the remains of palaces that were originally constructed as defensive ramparts. This important site is quite magnificent and includes more than 100 architectural works that reflect the life of the emperors and mandarins under the Nguyen reign.

Hoi An
Located on the bank of the Thu Bon River, Hoi An, known as Faifo to early Western traders, was one of the major trading centres in South-East Asia during the 16th century. It has a distinct Chinese atmosphere, comprising low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of these streets still remains almost intact. All the houses were made of rare wood and decorated with lacquered boards and panels engraved with Chinese characters.

My Son
Formerly the centre of the Cham Kingdom, My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious relics that include temples and towers, with a central tower built to reflect the king's divinity. There are more than 70 constructions of brick and stone, built between the 7th and 15th centuries in accordance with different architectural styles. My Son has been compared with other famous sites in South-East Asia such as Angkor, Borobudur, Vatphu and Pagan.
