Raffles Tops Condé Nast Traveler 2011 Gold List Scores in Beijing and Singapore; Celebrates 10th Consecutive Year on the Gold List in Siem Reap

Raffles Beijing Hotel, Raffles Hotel Singapore and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor Siem Reap have been selected by Condé Nast Traveler as among the World’s Best Places to Stay in the magazine’s 2011 Gold List. Raffles Beijing Hotel and Raffles Hotel Singapore emerged with top scores in each of their respective cities while Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor Siem Reap celebrates its 10th consecutive year as one of Cambodia’s best hotels.

 

Readers gave Raffles Beijing Hotel top marks amongst hotels in Beijing, including a perfect score of 100 points for its unmatched location just minutes stroll from the historic Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and retail heart of Wanfujing. Raffles Beijing Hotel is cited as an "early-twentieth-century Beaux Arts oasis filled with old-world charm…whenever you return, it feels like coming home".

 

Flagship Raffles Hotel Singapore earns the highest score amongst hotels in Singapore from readers who lauded the hotel both for service and design: "Staff seem genuinely interested in guests's well-being" and the hotel’s "beautiful colonial architecture contrasts sharply with contemporary properties around the city".
