Palm Court
Raffles Hotel is surrounded by Livistona Palms, the fragrant Frangipanis and the distinctive Traveller’s Palms. The Palm Court provides the perfect setting for residents to relax by the shady verandahs, while the sweet scent of the Frangipani flowers fills the air.
Palm Garden
One of the Palm Garden's main feature would be the tall graceful Casuarina Trees planted in honour of Somerset Maugham who penned his first book of short stories set in the East, aptly titled The Casuarina Tree. The Heliconia, also know as 'Black Magic' is another unique plant at Palm Garden.
Fern Court
In the jungle-like Fern Court, there are a couple of magnificent Bread Fruit Trees which can grow up to a height of 20 metres. The buds of the beautiful pink Torch Gingers growing on the side of the garden, serve as an important ingredient in local dishes like laksa and rojak.
Raffles Courtyard
Raffles Courtyard is a popular alfresco dining venue that exudes immense tropical charm. The lush setting of the courtyard is mainly attributed to the grand looking Cyas, Petunias in its hanging baskets, firecracker-like Heliconiasand the large leafed Monstera.
The Lawn
The Lawn is a favorite spot for garden parties and weddings. Graceful Peacock Flowers and Lantana Camarablooms throughout the year in the garden.
