Payas Alit

Experience the feel of payas alit, the traditional attire usually worn during temple ceremonies. Women dress in a kebaya blouse and kamen, or sarong, while gentleman wear a white safari shirt, kamen, saput and udent headdress, generally in white or yellow, though other colours are available. Kamen are traditionally made from a fabric called songket. This magnificent fabric originates from the illustrious court of Puri Agung Klungkung and has a remarkable history spanning eight decades. Crafted with utmost care, it features intricate patterns woven with the finest gold and silver threads, elegantly portraying the royal heritage in vibrant fuchsia hues, reminiscent of the glorious era of the palace.
