Raffles courtyard 

 

From 4 to 10 September 2024, the spotlight is on Mr. Raaghavendra Arivalagan, the third hawker featured in the Regional Hawker Showcase at Raffles Courtyard. He will represent his father, Mr. Arivalagan Ponnusamy, a renowned Putu Mayong master from Penang, Malaysia.

For over 40 years, Mr. Arivalagan Ponnusamy has honed his craftsmanship in creating Putu Mayong, a local delicacy made from vermicelli-like rice flour noodles.

Experience his exquisite Putu Mayong in a trio of variations—original, pandan, and brown rice—served with grated coconut, brown sugar, and two savoury curries: a creamy vegetable curry and a delectable fish curry.
