Raffles Hotel Le Royal
Good with some issues...
STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, THERE ARE THESE ISSUES: WE HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS HOTEL FOR MANY YEARS, AND DO NOT LIKE MANY OF THE CHANGES. 1. NO BUTLER SERVICE. THIS WAS A VERY SWEET AND UNIQUE DOMENSION. WHY DID THE HOTEL DO AWAY WITH THIS. 2. FOOD IS NO LONGER AS GOOD AS IT ONCE WAS. EVEN THE SIMPLE BREAKFAST IS NOT GOOD. THE COFFEE IS TERRIBLE. WE CAME FROM VIETNAM. EVEN THE LEAST EXPENSIVE PLACES SERVE BETTER COFFEE THAN YOU DO. NOT GOOD. BUT THE MENU IS NOT A GOOD ONE. 3. WE LOVE THE PERSONALITY SUITE = SOMERSET MAUGHAM. AND YET WE HAD A HARD TIME BOOKING IT FROM THE STATES. ALSO WHEN WE GOT TO THE HOTEL, THEY TRIED TOO HARD TO PUT US IN A GIANT SUITE. WHY THE HARD SELL? VERY CORPORATE, THIS APPOACH. NOT NICE. THEN WE HAD DIFFICULTY PAYING FOR ONLY 6 HOURS, SINCE WE HAD TO LEAVE AT MIDNIGHT. WE FINALLY WERE HELPED AND GIVEN HALF DAY CHARGE. IN THE PAST WE WERE EVEN GIVEN NO CHARGE FOR THE EXTRA TIME. THE ONLY REASON WE NEED THOSE HOURS IS BECAUSE OUR PLANE DOES NOT LEAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT. WE CONVEYED TO MR. GROOT THAT WE WERE UNHAPPY. FORTUNATELY THE STAFF HELPED US. MR. YA WAS VERY NICE, APOLOGIZED AND ALLOWED US TO LEAVE AT 9.30 PM FOR HALF PRICE. BUT THE HOTEL SHOULD BE EMBARASSED TO EVEN CHARGE US FOR EVEN THIS 6 OR 7 HOURS...WE ARE REPEAT CLIENTS, AND LOVE THE HOTEL, BUT WE DO NOT LIKE THIS HEAVY-HANDED CORPORATE APPROACH. WE DO NOT BLAME THE STAFF. THEY ARE EXCELLENT. WE BLAME THE NEW CORPORATE APPORATE. 4.WHEN WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE WATER, WE WERE PATIENT AND WORKED WITH THE STAFF. THE HOTEL SHOULD REMEMBER THESE THINGS: HOW NICE WE WERE WHEN YOU INCONVENIENCED US, AND TREAT US WITH MORE RESPECT, NOT WITH CORPORATE DISINTEREST. RICHARD M. AND JOY L. Excellent stay
A very charming and classy hotel offering the best service one can expect. Great room, very nice atmosphere; good choice of restaurants: a perfect hotel to relax and enjoy a quiet time in the Center of Phnom Penh.

It was seamless stay from check in to check out except Room air condition it wasn’t cooling properly but hotel room was very good colonial style hotel.

Very pleasant stay with exceptional service
Our stay with Raffles was very enjoyable and pleasant right from the beginning to our departure. Everything was very well taken care of with professionalism, including airport pickup, check-in procedure and making the room, etc. I'm very much impressed with the airport pickup arrangement. The chauffeur was well-groomed and very polite. The ride was also very comfortable and it was nice to have a glass of water right after the flight. The welcome drink upon arrival was very refreshing and delicious! The staff also put efforts into remembering and addressing you with your name to make your stay more personal. All staff were very well-trained, attentive and helpful. Some of them went the extra mile to show me the way and accompany me to walk to the next location that I was looking for. The spa treatment was a wonderful experience with smooth transition. It was very relaxing and the masseur Chi was professional and friendly. She explained everything very clearly before you even asked to make you feel at ease at all times. Another surprise was the thoughtfulness of offering some fresh fruits, different types of sprays and a cold drink at the pool. The staff always made themselves available and would come to you at the right time while giving you enough space. The room decor and details were classy and functional. We especially love the antique telephone and the bathroom design. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning to Raffles!!
An elegant hotel, with excellent staff
We enjoyed a two night stay for a party of 5. We liked the elegant nature of the hotel, the rooms, the public spaces and the restaurant and bar. The location is nicely central, although the ambience of the hotel is very quiet. When we were there there were hardly any other guests staying. The staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly.

We had a wonderful two nights stay in the hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had great amenities including two large swimming pools.
Great Hotel and Great Service
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Raffels Le Royal Phnom Penh, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. The hotel's facilities and services were exceptional, making it a truly high-standard establishment. However, I would like to provide two suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the room I stayed in, Room 163, was quite humid. It felt more humid indoors compared to the outdoor environment. I am unsure of the cause of this issue, but it would be beneficial to address it to ensure guest comfort. Secondly, the view from my room's window was initially supposed to be a poolside view. However on 25 June due to a catering event near the pool, my view transformed into a pantry view. I could only see hotel staff, a multitude of dishes, and tables. Therefore I even can not open the curtain, Apart from this, everything was excellent.
