Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor
Memorable; very lovely hotel.
A lovely building offering a very comfortable stay. Architecture was fabulous, as was the furniture and decor. Food and service also outstanding. Wonderful staff.
Great stay
Hotel is wonderful. My main issue was the doors. I understand you're going for traditional but in this day in age, you really need to update your keys to electronic card keys. I had a such a difficult time opening my room door- it was really frustrating. Opening it from the outside as well as from the inside. Door knobs are not easy sometimes, especially for people with disabilities or small kids. I had slippery hands and could not open the door from the inside and struggled for several minutes to open my door from the inside. Also, I went to the pool in the evening and there were bats swooping down over the pool everywhere- not sure if this is typical. I know it was feeding time for bugs, but it makes using the pool less desirable. Otherwise, the stay and service was excellent. Thanks.
Great Stay at Historic Hotel
The hotel has a very traditional feel with a classic style in the lobby and bedrooms. I especially like the white and black motifs as well as the blue accents in the lobby. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is attentive. Highly recommended!
Excellent service and great historical hotel
Exceptional service and amenities. Memorable vacation!
Oasis of Kindness and Beauty
We spent four nights at Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor and were entranced by the combination of historic architecture, superb hospitality and the warmth of the entire staff. Rarely do such qualities come together this enchantingly.
Lovely Colonial style hotel
The stay was extremely pleasant. The staff is what makes it. Without good staff one cannot have a good time. All very nice and friendly. Rooms very comfortable
Nice hotel, nice staff, a little awkward.
The staff and hotel was very nice. Super friendly with nice rooms and amenities. Some things were overpriced for what they are, mainly the restaurant. Also, asking the front desk to call you a taxi costs $55 which is absurd for a basic hotel front desk ask. The staff was also a little too in your face. This may be a cultural difference, but I don’t want the staff constantly interrupting me. Being greeted by every single staff member you walk by gets exhausting. Also, they are asking if you want or need something every two seconds, I’m fully capable of asking when I need something, this became annoying. Also, servers are instantly trying to remove your plate while you are still enjoying your meal, or literally trying to take your luggage out of your hand instead of waiting for you to ask for help or hand them your luggage. It was a bit aggressive or invasive at times. I appreciate a more subtle approach, this service style felt a little suffocating and desperate.
We loved our stay.
The service, food and amenities were exceptional. My only issue was that the pool was very warm. I don’t think it needs additional heating when it’s warm outside.
Well located
Good hotel well situated. Room small and lacking amenities.
amazing vacation
