Beautiful Hotel, Service lacked
We choose to return to Raffles Warsaw after a previous stay there 3 years ago was amazing. For this visit to Warsaw we selected their Terrace suite for 4 nights. The hotel is always beautiful and the terrace was perfect as we had great weather during our stay. Unfortunately the service was far lacking then our previous stay. After checking in to the hotel we were not offered unpacking service, we were not given a over view of the room technologies and the greeting was hurried. Raffles is known for their Butler service, you would expect this when you are staying in the Terrace suite. We say the butler once on our first night for a minute, other then that never say him except in the lobby. Their was no Butler button on the phone in the living room only a hotel directory card. You had to dial 509 for Butler service, each time it went to the Reception. One of the evening we waited 43 minutes for Ice, had to make 2 follow up calls to get this. We were told twice that the Butler was on the way, turn out someone from the dining brought the ice and informed me that the Butler was off that night. Nice to know that you are paying for a service that you never got. Another evening we returned to our room to find food delivered, (a Salad with shrimp and a glass of champagne) we never ordered this, and were not happy they willing went into our room with out our knowledge and left food sitting around. When I went to reception to have it taken away I made it very clear that this was not ordered by us and to make sure we were not charged for this. However on check-out, it was still charged to us. Which I had rectified. We had arranged to go to the Symphony and asked the hotel to arrange car service. They booked us to be picked up at 5 to bring us, it was only when they gave me the ticket to the show I realized that the show was actually starting at 7, so I had to have them reschedule the car service. You would hope when having the hotel concierge arrange these events that they would coordinate the time correctly. The day we were checking out was early and the hotel was aware of this, again no Butler around to be of any assistance, no good bye token or card, just pay and leave. I will say Lucas and Robert where as pleasant and friendly as our prior visit, However we left Raffles Warsaw very disappointed in the experience. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and I have no problem paying for a Suite if it is to come with extra services and perked, but this was not the case. It seemed very amateur operation this time and we left saying to each other “Well the Room was Great” service was terrible. It is unfortunate that this is the experience we had at Raffles this time when visiting Poland From Canada. It is a very hard call to make if we would return to Raffles or try Hotel Bristol next time or another hotel.

I'm staying at Raffles every time I can whilst in Warsaw. IMO it's the best hotel in Warsaw with very nicely furnished rooms and helpful staff.
