A field of sunflowers at the heart of the most Parisian Palace
From the moment you step into Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, the eye is captivated. At the center of the Parisian 5-star hotel's terrace, oversized flowers entirely crafted from paper rise up as if conjured from a memory of summer. Neither natural nor artificial, they occupy an in-between space, more graphic, more dreamlike, where artisanal craftsmanship and the lightness of the material instill something deliberately fleeting.
This site-specific installation borrows the codes of the summer field only to reinvent them: a gentle, slightly offbeat evocation, somewhere between reality and imagination. The effect is immediate.
On the tree-lined terrace, the pool is adorned with sumptuous, life-size sunflowers, lulled by the soft lapping of cool water. Nestled at the heart of the Palace's restaurants, this terrace is an ideal address in Paris for a gourmet summer break, as close to refreshing coolness as it gets.
Yazid Ichemrahen's Ice Cream Sundaes: Summer in a Glass
This summer, Le Bar Long and the terrace of Le Royal Monceau unveil two ice cream sundaes created by Chef Yazid Ichemrahen, World Champion of Frozen Desserts, alongside his Executive Chef Alexandre Favre.
A creamy, delicate texture achieved through made-to-order preparation using an instant ice cream machine.
The Chocolate Sundae: two-vanilla ice cream (Madagascar and Tahiti), molten chocolate cake, chocolate shortbread with fleur de sel, caramelized pecans, and Passionato 62% dark chocolate sauce.
The Strawberry Sundae: two-vanilla ice cream (Madagascar and Tahiti), strawberry visitandine cake, Anaïs strawberry brunoise with its jam, and strawberry water sauce.
Two creations in the image of the Parisian Palace hotel: a precision of ingredients and an attention to detail that distinguishes every sweet dish served at the hotel.
