Easter Egg

Coconut mousse enrobed in white chocolate, filled with lime cream with a subtle hint of finger lime. Nestled in a caramel chocolate cup with a crisp coconut garnish.

Mazurek

An almond tart crowned with golden, indulgent caramel, studded with almonds, pistachios, cranberries, and apricots. Enhanced with Chantilly cream and blackcurrant coulis, and elegantly adorned with pistachios and almond sable.

Carrot Cake

Moist carrot sponge layered with a silky Philadelphia cream cheese frosting and delicate carrot jelly, finished with a refined white chocolate decoration.

Rum Baba

A sumptuous vanilla brioche, luxuriously soaked in aromatic rum and encased in a delicate vanilla cream. Finished with hand-crafted decorations in dark, milk, and white chocolate.

History

A city institution since 1821

Lourse was founded in 1821 by Swiss confectioner Laurent Lourse. Modelled after Parisian patisseries, Lourse was soon the talk of Warsaw, its delicious gourmet ice cream and chocolate desserts attracting the likes of Fryderyk Chopin as well as notables from legal, scientific, literary and journalistic circles. And Lourse had another attraction: the patisserie was among the first in Warsaw to install gas lighting which, as women quickly discovered, was particularly flattering to the complexion.

Afternoon Tea

A refined ritual of celebration in the most elegant setting. Delicate pastries by the master confectioners at Lourse, carefully selected teas, and artfully curated savoury bites create an unforgettable experience, combining craftsmanship and exceptional quality in every moment.  

Afternoon Tea is available every Saturday and Sunday by prior reservation only.
